Using AI Responsibly in Recruitment

This statement explains how candidates can use AI effectively during recruitment at Lunar Energy, and how we use the technology ourselves.

Using AI as a candidate

You’re welcome to use AI to:

  • Research Lunar Energy, the clean energy sector and the role
  • Explore whether a role is a good match for your experience and interests
  • Help draft or refine an application that accurately reflects your own experience
  • Generate practice questions to prepare for an interview

Please don’t use AI to:

  • Submit large numbers of untargeted applications
  • Exaggerate or misrepresent your skills or experience
  • Complete or influence an assessment, task or test on your behalf
  • Transcribe an interview or prompt you with answers during it

We want to get to know you: your experience, your thinking and how you approach the work.

‍If we have concerns about AI use

If we have reason to believe AI was used to misrepresent your experience, complete an assessment on your behalf, or provide answers during an interview, we may withdraw your application from the recruitment process.

How we use AI

We use Greenhouse, an applicant tracking system, to manage applications. We may also use an AI tool to transcribe and/or summarise an interview for the recruitment team. We will tell you before an interview if we plan to use it, including whether it will record audio or video.

We do not use AI to score, filter, rank or reject candidates. Our recruitment team reviews applications and makes every hiring decision. AI-generated interview notes allow our recruiters to focus on having meaningful conversations with candidates, rather than taking notes during interviews. This tool supports record-keeping but does not evaluate candidates or make hiring decisions.
