Within the Lunar App, you can change modes on the Battery Settings screen. Some installers may manage this setting for you, where Lunar AI is the default mode.

Every day, Lunar AI writes and runs a unique plan for your home, adapting in real time to changes like weather conditions, EV charging, NEM 3.0 rates, or recurring events. It works behind the scenes to make the most of your solar energy, reduce your bills, and keep your home running on clean power. And you don’t have to worry or manage it — Lunar AI does all of the calculations for you.

Lunar System owners can earn hundreds of dollars more each year in available Virtual Power Plant (VPP) programs from utilities. You can see available VPPs directly in the Lunar App, and can choose to enroll based on the program offer.
