Your questions on VPPs, answered.
When you enroll in a VPP program, you’ll be rewarded for sharing your stored battery power during peak demand. You’ll be compensated for the energy you provide, while also helping keep the grid stable for your community.
Yes, Lunar has experience delivering VPP services in multiple markets around the world, and is excited to offer eligible Lunar customers the ability to sign up for VPPs.
If you’re eligible for a VPP program in an area that we support, we’ll notify you, and you’ll be able to sign up in the Lunar App.
This will depend on the specific VPP program, but your battery will continue to charge from solar and then discharge that energy later. VPPs will mainly affect when that discharge happens. Some VPP programs have frequent “events,” while others may only have one event per month.
The Lunar App will keep you up to speed on upcoming events, live events, and key information about past events.
