Get more from your battery by participating in the Efficiency Maine Small Battery Program.

  • Earn hundreds in annual incentives: You receive an incentive each year by allowing the program to occasionally draw a portion of your stored energy to support Maine's electric grid during periods of high demand. 
  • Automatic but fully in your control: The system operates seamlessly in the background during brief battery events, and you always retain the ability to opt out if you want to prioritize your own backup power. 
  • No solar panels required: You do not need a solar array to qualify; as long as you are a Maine utility customer with a compatible, grid-connected battery.
