Introducing smart breaker compatibility

During a power outage, every bit of energy counts. Lunar developed unprecedented controls to manage that energy with Eaton’s AbleEdge smart breakers — ensuring your critical appliances are automatically prioritized. A Lunar Certified Installer will review different electrical loads in your home and advise which ones are good candidates for a smart breaker. These are often things such as EV charging, pool pumps, or HVAC. Electrical loads such as refrigerators, lights, or WiFi should remain on regular breakers, as they’re always prioritized in an outage.

Manual Control

In the Lunar App, you’ll see which loads you have connected to smart breakers and how much power they’re using in real time. Switch them on and off in a tap. This functionality works both when the grid is working and when it’s not.

Automatic Control

With Lunar, there are two ways to set automatic controls directly in the Lunar App.

1. Always off during a grid outage

Here, you will set non-essential loads such as a pool pump to drop immediately when the grid fails to preserve power for essential electrical loads.

2. Conditional control

In the Lunar App, you’ll see which loads you have connected to smart breakers and how much power they’re using in real time. Switch them on and off in a tap. This functionality works both when the grid is working and when it’s not.
